Digitally inspired, integrated environmental science from a team @LancasterUni Lots still available to explore online from our #EntangledFestival

Lancaster, England
Joined February 2017
Our festival is over, but there are still short films and panels and podcasts and all kinds of #SciArt activities available online here: ensembleprojects.org/entangl… Thanks so much to everyone who joined us to explore just how entangled arts, science, nature & technologies can be.

Delighted to see my short piece on digital twins of the natural environment in print @Patterns_CP. An exciting technology for the environmental sector but lots of research challenges to be tackled to make this a reality. @UK_CEH @EnsembleLancs @SPFDigiEnv doi.org/10.1016/j.patter.202…

Check the bottom left of the close up photo to see the conductive ink prints made by #MorecambeBay children, with the @LancasterUni Ensemble Team. The children also learnt to write #Scratch code to make the birds play their call when touched. @SCC_Lancaster
It is really exciting to see conductive bird prints made by #Morecambe children on the @edenproject pavilion at #COP26 The children involved have been learning to notice local birds and their calls - building #DigitalNaturalist skills with the Ensemble Team @SCC_Lancaster

Results from our Coast Watchers #beachclean at Rossall on 18/10/21 show an increase in beach litter compared to September's clean 🗑 It will be really interesting to see how the beach litter responds to larger 🌊 & storms over the coming winter months! @visitfyldecoast
